Band Spectacular

Wallarah Community Band is hosting a celebration of the International Day of People with a Disability at Mingara Recreation Club Showroom. It will be a rolling concert including seven primary school bands, Wallarah Junior Band and the main Wallarah Community Band.

Wallarah Community Band members are an inclusive and intergenerational band that rehearse at Kanwal Public School during school terms. Like the rest of Australia, people with a disability are part of our community, our families and friends. Band members want to share their amazing orchestral wind, brass and percussion sound.

While the event is free, donations are welcome to support community banding on the Central Coast.

Regular intermissions, while bands change over, are scheduled every 20-30 minutes, so the audience has frequent opportunities to move around, or take a break outside the Showroom.

For those who find a crowd a bit much, the largest attendance is anticipated between 1pm and 2.30pm when the Wallarah Community Band and Wallarah Junior band perform.

Mingara Club has an under-cover main entry to alight from your vehicle, wheelchair accessible facilities, lifts, and 20 disabled parking spaces.
