Invisible Disability Awareness ACT

A Canberra event for the International Day of People with Disability 2025 focusing on invisible disability experiences.

We are a group of ACT artists with invisible disabilities that are inviting people to share ideas for this year’s IDPwD theme either in-person or online.

Each idea will form a petal of a sunflower to create a field of sunflowers filled with ideas.

We are also inviting people to submit an artwork in any medium to share their lived experience, or how they would like to be able to live with an invisible disability in the ACT. You can make a submission by 1 February 2026 by:

1. tagging @invisibledisability_act and @idpwd_au on Instagram, or

2. sending us your story or a photo of an artwork in an email to: InvisibleDisabilityACT2025@gmail.com.

In the new year, we will be presenting the ideas, artworks and stories to the ACT Government. So come join us as we connect and collect stories to help make a difference for people with invisible disability.
