Public Living Room

Celebrate International Day of People with Disability with us at our Public Living Room!

What’s a Public Living Room, you ask? It’s a welcoming space, lovingly set up by Camerados, where strangers can meet, connect, and simply be. Think of it as a cosy corner of the world where everyone is invited to share a chat, a cuppa, and a little kindness.

Valued Lives first connected with Camerados in 2022 during the Citizen Network’s *Festival of Debate – Peers Around the World*. Inspired by their ethos of inclusion and connection, we saw how a Public Living Room could create a welcoming space for everyone, especially on celebration days like International Day of People with Disability. Since then, we’ve hosted three more, and this year marks our fourth!

So, we’d love to welcome you to *your* 2024 Public Living Room on Tuesday, 3 December, 2.00 p.m. – 4.00m p.m. at Belmont Forum — come as you are, be as you are, and let’s enjoy this space together.
