Enter the 2019 Grow Inclusion schools competition

Help grow inclusion in our community by entering the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) Grow Inclusion schools competition in 2019.

Whole schools, year groups and classrooms can enter — and you could win $3,000 in accessible resources and materials for your school.

To enter, all your school, year group or classroom needs to do is:

  • Register an event or activity to help grow inclusion in the community on the IDPwD website, to be held between 22 July and 8 November 2019.
  • Sign up for the competition when registering the event.
  • Hold the event — and post a photo or video of the day on the school Facebook page.

What your school’s event looks like is up to you — it could be an art class, a sausage sizzle, a seed planting activity or something else entirely.

The aim is to start a conversation and celebrate the achievements of people with disability, and help grow inclusion in the community.

Your school’s photo or video must be posted on the school’s Facebook page by 5:00pm AEDT on 8 November 2019, when the competition closes.

Each school’s event will be judged by an independent panel, who will visit the school’s Facebook page to see their photos or video.

The winner will be officially announced on International Day of People with Disability — 3 December 2019.
