Gold Medals, Grand Slams and Smashing Glass Ceilings – IDPWD with guest speaker Dylan Alcott OAM

ECU is very proud to welcome sports champion and popular TV and radio personality host Dylan Alcott OAM as our guest speaker at this year’s International Day of People with Disability event.

In his funny and engaging style, Dylan will share his personal story of overcoming adversity, breaking the mould and achieving success.

Dylan was born fighting. After winning a battle for his life as a baby, Dylan defied the odds and through sheer determination and hard work, became one of Australia’s most successful sportspeople.

Among his many sporting achievements, Dylan is a Paralympic gold medallist, basketball World Champion, tennis Grand Slam Champion and world record-holder for both wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis.

He is also a passionate advocate for people with disabilities, championing young people who are struggling to come to terms with their condition.

Dylan is a host on Triple J and regularly appears on Channel 10’s The Project and Channel 7 Sports.
