Blind Adventurer announced as 2018 Patron
Assistant Minister for Social Services and Disability Services Jane Prentice today announced blind adventurer and chocolatier Gerrard Gosens OAM as the 2018 Patron for International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD). Mrs Prentice said three-time Paralympian and business owner Mr Gosens, as a role model and passionate advocate for people with disability, was the ideal choice as Patron. Read more
Commemorative coin and envelope to celebrate International Day of People with Disability
The 25th anniversary of International Day of People with Disability was celebrated today with the release of a commemorative 20 cent coin and prepaid envelope welcomed by the Minister for Small Business Michael McCormack and Assistant Minister for Social Services and Disability Services the Hon Jane Prentice.
