| Sunday Fun Day Community Festival | | The 2008 Sunday Fun Day Community Festival will be presented in the Stage 88 Arena in Commonwealth Park and will feature a diverse range of performers. These performers include internationally acclaimed blues harmonica player Jim Conway,
Jim's brother - the legendary Mic Conway, Elly-May and Mahalia Barnes.
Sunday Fun Day will feature "The Great Strawberry Eating Competition", generously sponsored by Go Troppo Fruit Markets, Fyshwick. Presented in three age categories: 6-9 years, 10-13 years and 14-17 years. Entry forms will be available at the Festival from the Festival Information Booth.
The Go Troppo Tropical Dress/Shirt and Hat Competition is open to all persons over the age of 18 years. Contestants must wear their favourite tropical attire - dresses, shirts or hats - as "tropical" as possible. Sunday Fun Day will feature an exciting range of gourmet food stalls, beverages, Streets icecreams and a range of fresh fruits supplied by Go Troppo Fruit Markets.

| A Different Focus Photographic Exhibition | | Disability ACT will host an inaugural photographic exhibition in the Glass Floor Exhibition Space, First Floor, Canberra Centre. The exhibition will be open for the public until 5.30pm Sunday, 7 December 2008. ‘A Different Focus’ will showcase the work of Ms Jess Irwin, an Australian photographer with disability. The event will also feature Canberra based photography and electronic imagery artist with disability, Ms Jenni Heckendorf. Jess works as a photographer in the studio of legendary Australian photographer Ken Duncan and is also an accomplished graphic designer. This will be the first Public exhibition of Jess' excellent work and is an opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work of this young artist and ambassador for people with disability.
